Mainstream Coalition Recommended Candidates
2026 General Election
Mainstream Coalition’s candidate recommendations are meant to indicate the candidates most closely aligned with Mainstream's values. Candidates are recommended by a bipartisan volunteer committee and approved by Mainstream's board of directors. The committees take into consideration available voting records, public statements, and direct interviews when necessary to determine how closely a candidate is aligned with Mainstream and to what degree they will champion our shared values if elected.
Mainstream did not recommend candidates in every race, including uncontested races or those where sufficient public information was not available to make an informed decision. For additional races outside of Johnson, Wyandotte, and Douglas counties, we recommended looking at the election guide (published soon!) by our friend, Six Degrees of Activism, and for school boards across the state please visit Game On for Public Schools!
Once again, we recommend you vote NO on the constitutional amendment. We also recommend that you look at the Kansas Bar Association judicial retention surveys for the Kansas Supreme Court Justices and Kansas Court of Appeals Judges seeking retention.
